Privacy Policy

Overview

Zavorium is a recipe creation and meal-planning platform with AI-assisted tools, voice features, saved meal plans, shopping lists, inventory tracking, inventory photo scanning, favorites, reviews, and account personalization. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you when you use the service.

Information We Collect

Account and Profile Information

• Account identifiers such as Firebase user ID, email address, and login/session state
• Profile and personalization information you choose to provide, such as display name, about text, favorite tags, notification preferences, and profile photo
• Admin status for accounts that have moderator or support permissions

Recipes and Planning Data

• Recipes you create, edit, save, or publish, including titles, ingredients, steps, tags, timing, nutrition fields, visibility settings, and images
• Meal plans, calendar entries, shopping lists, pantry or inventory items, and AI-generated dishes or meal-plan suggestions you save
• Photos you upload or capture for inventory scanning, which are processed to identify visible food and ingredient items
• Favorites, reviews, ratings, and related interaction data tied to your account

AI and Usage Data

• Prompts, photos, and inputs you provide to generate recipes, pantry dishes, meal plans, images, or inventory scan results
• Zideons Credits wallet data, including app-specific daily allowance and reset state, subscription, promotional, earned, and purchased balance components, deterministic request IDs, reservations, commits, releases, ledger entries, purchase and order references, and refund adjustments
• Operational usage records for AI actions, which may include timestamps, request IP address, action type, estimated token counts, generated-image counts, and estimated provider cost

Camera and Inventory Photo Data

• Camera access is requested only when you choose to use the in-app camera capture feature
• Photos captured in the browser are previewed locally before you choose whether to scan them
• When you scan an uploaded or captured photo, the image is sent to our server and to Google Gemini for item recognition
• The current inventory scan flow is designed to save recognized inventory item data, not store the uploaded or captured scan photo as a permanent user asset

Voice and Audio Data

• Supported voice features use your browser's speech recognition service. Depending on the browser, audio may be sent to the browser provider's speech service for processing; recognition does not necessarily happen entirely on your device
• When browser speech recognition is unavailable, audio you submit may be sent to our server for transcription processing
• The codebase is designed to transcribe audio and discard the uploaded recording after processing rather than store it as a permanent user asset

ZiggyBot Chat and Public Recipe Search

You can use the ZiggyBot widget without signing in to ask about Zavorium and discover public recipes. We process the messages you submit and a limited portion of recent messages to interpret your request and follow-up questions. Guest request interpretation and meaning-based recipe search may send that text, along with public recipe titles, ingredients, and tags, to Google Gemini. Guest search does not retrieve private recipes or account inventory, shopping lists, or meal plans. Creating or saving content and accessing your own account data require sign-in.

Guest conversation history is held in the current page's browser memory rather than saved as an account conversation. Starting a new guest conversation, clearing it, or reloading or leaving the page removes that displayed history; simply closing and reopening the widget does not. Messages have still been sent to our servers and, where used, AI providers. Clearing the display does not erase provider processing records, operational logs, or temporary search caches. Request IP addresses and request counts are also used for guest usage limits and abuse prevention.

When you use ZiggyBot while signed in, Zavorium shares your verified account identifier, email address, and authorized access permissions with the connected ZiggyBot service. Messages, relevant conversation context, and the Zavorium page or recipe you are viewing may be used to answer requests. Authorized recipe and planning data may be retrieved when relevant to your request. ZiggyBot stores account-linked conversations, responses, proposals, approval decisions, and action results so you can return to conversations and track saves. Depending on configuration, signed-in assistance may use Google Gemini or OpenAI services.

The widget's microphone is optional and requests browser permission. It uses speech recognition to obtain text rather than uploading an audio recording to Zavorium through the widget. Recognized text may be sent for punctuation processing and is submitted as a chat message when you select Stop or reach the listening time limit. Browser speech processing and AI processing are subject to the applicable providers' privacy practices. Avoid speaking or entering sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request.

How We Use Information

Zideons Credits have no cash value and are intended only for use within participating Zideons apps and services.

Cookies, Local Storage, and Session Data

Zavorium uses essential cookies and related storage for login, security, and session management.

• firebase_session is used to keep you signed in
• Session and CSRF cookies help protect forms and authenticated requests
• Session activity data is used to support inactivity timeout handling
• mmx_cookie_consent is stored in localStorage to remember cookie preference choices

Performance Caching

To improve performance and reduce loading times, the application uses in-memory caching to temporarily store frequently accessed data.

• Cached data may include recipe listings, user profiles, categories, and search results
• Cache is stored in server memory and cleared when the application restarts
• Many cached items expire on configured timeouts, typically 1-15 minutes. Meaning-based recipe search also uses a bounded in-memory cache that may retain search text, recipe candidate data, and ranking results until entries are replaced or the server process restarts
• Cache is invalidated when underlying data is updated to ensure freshness

Where Data Is Stored and Processed

Public Content and Visibility

Recipes may be public or private depending on the settings used when they are saved. Public recipes may appear in site listings, search results, recipe detail pages, and ZiggyBot recipe results shown to signed-out visitors. Private recipes are restricted to the creator and admins. Reviews, ratings, and display names you choose to publish may also be visible to other users or visitors.

Account Deletion and Retention

Signed-in ZiggyBot conversations are stored separately from Zavorium app data. You can delete a conversation through the widget's conversation controls. Deleting a conversation does not delete recipes or plans already saved through it, or separately retained action, credit, security, and audit records. Deleting Zavorium app data does not by itself delete separately stored ZiggyBot conversation history. Contact support if you need help with a broader deletion request.

If you delete your Zavorium app data, the current code is designed to remove core Zavorium records such as user profile records, personalization, notification preferences, app-local allowance data, favorites, reviews, and dedicated meal plans. The application also attempts to remove user-owned storage assets while preserving recipe images when associated recipes remain on the platform. This action does not automatically delete your central Zideons SSO account or shared wallet, purchase, order, refund, reservation, and ledger records. Those account-wide records may be retained separately for transaction integrity, accounting, dispute handling, security, abuse prevention, and legal obligations.

How We Share Information

We do not describe this service as selling personal information. Information is shared with service providers and connected Zideons services only as needed to operate the product, such as authentication, database hosting, storage, AI processing, email delivery, shared-wallet metering, central billing, orders, and refund adjustments. The payment provider processes checkout and payment information under its own terms and privacy policy. Admin users may access information necessary for moderation, support, billing, account management, abuse review, and platform operations.

Security

We use technical and administrative measures intended to protect account data, authenticated sessions, and stored content. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices

• Update profile and personalization information from your account settings
• Change recipe notification preferences and favorite tags
• Choose whether to grant camera permission, upload photos, capture photos, or submit a photo for inventory scanning
• Delete your account using the in-app account deletion flow
• Control optional cookie preferences through the banner/settings UI and your browser controls

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product changes. When material changes are made, we may revise the date above and update the policy page.
