Audio Data
  • Voice input for recipe creation, search, shopping list, and inventory is processed via browser speech recognition when supported
  • If browser speech recognition is unavailable, audio may be sent to our servers for transcription and discarded after processing
  • We do not store voice recordings on our servers

Cookie Duration: Authentication and session cookies remain active to keep you logged in. They are automatically cleared when you log out or when they expire for security purposes. Sessions automatically timeout after the configured inactivity period (15 minutes by default).
Advertising & Measurement Cookies

If/when we enable advertising, we may use advertising and measurement cookies or similar technologies to show relevant ads, limit repeat impressions, and understand ad performance. Where required, we will update the cookie banner to obtain your consent and provide controls.

To protect our platform from fraud, abuse, and security threats.

Advertising (If Enabled)

To show and measure relevant ads, limit repeat impressions, and provide reporting. We will respect your consent choices for advertising cookies and identifiers.

Data Security

Your data is protected: We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your personal information. Voice recordings are processed in real-time and never stored permanently.

Where We Store and Process Data

Firebase & Firestore

Account data, recipes, reviews, favorites, notification preferences, personalization, and AI-generated meal plans are stored in Firestore. Authentication is handled through Firebase Auth, including Single Sign-On (SSO) provided via Zideons.

Recipe images, profile photos, and meal plan images are stored in Firebase Storage.

Communications

Emails (including recipe notifications and support replies) are sent via configured SMTP providers.

We keep support records only as long as needed to address your request.

Your Device

Essential cookies (firebase_session, session/CSRF) keep you logged in and protect forms. LocalStorage stores the mmx_cookie_consent preference record.

We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies today.

Recipe Visibility & Deletion: Creators can choose whether a recipe is public or private. Public recipes appear in listings and search. Private recipes are visible only to the creator and admins. When a creator deletes a recipe, it is removed from public listings and inaccessible to regular users.

Public Content & Profile Visibility

Public recipes, reviews, ratings, and any display name or profile photo you choose to share can be visible to other users and visitors. You can set each recipe as public or private when saving. Private recipes are only visible to the creator and admins. You can edit or remove your profile details in your settings; deleting your account anonymizes your recipes.

User Content Responsibility & Moderation

User-generated recipes, meal plans, and reviews are posted by our community. We are not responsible for the accuracy, safety, or completeness of content provided by users; please use your own judgment when following any recipe or advice.

Misuse Policy: Abusive, illegal, or policy-violating behavior may result in removal of recipes and/or deletion of user accounts without notice to keep the community safe.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and personal data
  • Export your recipe data (download recipe JSON)
  • Manage email notification preferences and unsubscribe
  • Control your favorite food tags and notification settings
  • Opt out of non-essential communications
Important Note: This account-deletion policy is separate from manual recipe deletion. If you delete your account, your personal information (profile, favorites, reviews, notification preferences) is permanently removed, and recipe content that remains on the platform is anonymized (no longer associated with your account). If you manually delete a specific recipe, that recipe is removed from public visibility as described above.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to enhance our platform:

  • Firebase Authentication, Firestore, and Firebase Storage for login, database storage, and hosting recipe/profile media, including Zideons-provided Single Sign-On (SSO)
  • Google Gemini AI for recipe generation and image creation
  • Browser speech recognition APIs for voice input when supported by your device/browser
  • Email delivery services for notifications and communications
  • Advertising partners and ad networks (if enabled) to deliver and measure ads; we will request consent where required
